Each year we run a Training Week (in 2019, this is 6th July to 13th July) based at Bassenfell Manor. This week is for Christian leaders to gain further experience and training in a chosen activity to assist at a CAH holiday. During the week, the emphasis is on developing skills, safety management and spiritual leadership.

Training Week offers a number of nationally-recognised outdoor activity qualification courses as well as skills- and experience-building training sessions to allow people to progress towards a qualification.

Training Week in 2018 offers courses for:

  • Mountain Leader
  • Sailing (RYA Level 1 start sailing, Level 2 Basic Skills, Level 3 Better Sailing, Seamanship Skills, Assistant Instructor)
  • Kayaking (BCU 2 star award and Foundation Safety & Rescue Training)

Details of the full Training Week, including pricing, how to book and kit lists are in this link.

Because of the importance of training to CAH, training grants are available: please complete the attached application form (which also sets out our policy) through this link and get in touch with your Week Director to request sponsorship.
