Who We Are
With the exception of our part-time administrator, everyone involved in Christian Adventure Holidays is a volunteer. If you would like to contact us, please do so via the CONTACT page. We will am to get back to you as soon as possible.
James has been a Director with Christian Adventure Holidays since 2000 and he is a RYA Dinghy Instructor. His professional background has been in or around aero-engines but he now works for Speak Life, a charity which sets out to captivate the church and the world with the love of Jesus. He thinks CAH is one of the best things ever.
Martin works as mediator throughout the year. He is a qualified Kayak coach, summer Mountain Leader, Mountain Bike Leader, and has volunteered with CAH for 31 years.
Peter became a Christian as a young person at CAH. He has subsequently been a sailing leader since 2004 and a Director since 2012. He works as an Engineer in the Automotive Manufacturing sector and has recently returned from an 18 month secondment in Brussels.
Josh has been attending camp since he was a teenager (and has proudly only missed a few years!). Attending camp was a key step in his journey to becoming a Christian and he is passionate about sharing that experience. In 2018 Caroline joined him in volunteering with CAH, and in 2020 they took on directing a week. Josh is a mountain leader and kayaking instructor, Caroline is a kayaking instructor and they are both all-round paddling and walking enthusiasts. They have recently moved to Yorkshire, and are enjoying getting to know the Dales!
Luke grew up attending CAH and has volunteered for many years alongside his family. As a serving soldier, he brings extensive outdoor leadership experience, and can often be found leading in the fells or out sailing during the week of camp. Rebekah first volunteered in 2017 and supports with spiritual teaching and the hill walking groups. She works in the youth charity sector and has a background in secondary teaching. They are currently posted in Edinburgh with their young daughter Alexandra, who is already developing a love for the outdoors.
James has been a leader on CAH camps for the last 10 years. He has a background in Outdoor Education, and currently runs the Red Ridge outdoor centre in mid-Wales. He is a keen mountaineer, and loves climbing anything covered in snow!
Vanessa recently moved to Bromley with her Vicar-husband. She has worked in the NHS and social services and has also managed a Christian Convention. In her spare time she loves to walk the dog, do pilates (very badly!), bake, read and spend time with family and friends.
